STARTED VEHICLE NUMEROUS TIMES AND ROAD TESTED SEVERAL TIMES. WE HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE CUSTOMERS CONCERN OF A ROUGH IDLE AND OR NOISE WHEN STARTING. WE PERFORMED AN INSPECTION ND FOUND THE ENGINE OIL, WAS 1.5 QTS LOW ON OIL AND THIS COULD POTENTIALLY CAUSE A VVT ISSUE AND A ROUGH IDLE. ALSO, THE ENGINE IS A LOW VOLUME OIL CAPACITY . BEING 1.5 QTS LOW IS A VERY LOW OIL LEVEL AND COULD BE THE CAUSE OF NOISE ESPECIALLY ON AN INCLINE DUE TO STARVATION. VEHICLE SAT OVERNIGHT AND WAS STARTED COLD IN THE AM WITHOUT FAIL.
WE LIFTED THE VEHICLE FOR INSPECTION AND FOUND THE BACK UPPER SIDE OF THE TIMING COVER IS LEAKING AND WET DOWN THE WHOLE SEAM. RECOMMEND RESEAL TIMING COVER TO SOLVE THE LEAK.
